I tried to move you, but you just wouldn't budge...I tried to hold your hand, but you'd rather hold your grudge.

All good things must come to an end...

Well, camp is offically over. It is kind of sad to see it end. The last couple of weeks were kind of tough, but they were fun also. Like two weeks ago, I got a really bad sore throat and I was sick for like three days. That was hard, because I wasn't able to be around my campers for a couple of days. Then at the begining of this week, I got hives. Which if you happen not to know what they are, they are not fun. They are a allergic reaction to something, right now I really don't know what I am allergic to. So, I again could not be around my campers for like three days. But, all in all, I did have a good week and I had the best camp experience ever. I am too tired to talk about all the fun things that happened this summer, so I will have to tell you guys later.

In the morning at Camp Chattooga you're safe, but at night...bigfoots going to get you!

So the fourth week camp has come and gone. And what a long four weeks they have been. God has really been working on me with being patient. The girls this past week were quit an energetic group and they wore me out. But, I loved having them in the cabin. It is hard for me to get close to a group of girls and then at the end of the week watch them leave. But that is camp for you. I know God is really working at the camp. We are watching young girls come to know God each week and what a blessing it has been. Seeing a girl accept Jesus is what makes going to camp the best part. Oh, we had an outbreak of pink eye at camp this past week, so I was trying to not get that and lathered up on the hand sanitizer. One of the leaders in the cabin left last night. She only stayed for a month and then she left. It was really hard seeing her go, because we become really good friends and worked really well together. But we must move on I guess. Well, tomorrow starts session 5 and I have 15 girls in the cabin, so...I can't wait.

Bug bites, not stop singing, and hot weather...it is fun to be a camp again.

So, this past week was my first week of camp with the campers actually there. It was pretty much amazing. I had 13 girls in my cabin ranging from 12-14 years old. We did lots of fun activites. We went to the high ropes course one day and we had a luau, and we went to the cove (which is really a lake which we tubed on.) I was in charge of theatre arts this week and I had two classes. On Friday we did skits for the camp. So, all in all it was a pretty good first week of camp. I go back up there tomorrow and get a whole new group of girls. Can't wait to see what this week will hold.

A word to the wise...

So I have had someone complain that I hadn't posted in a while, so here is just something to think about:

“Yeah, for some reason parrots have to bite me. That's their job. I don't know why that is. They've nearly torn my nose off. I've had some really bad parrot bites.”
                                                                          -Steve Irwin

Now I put this on here, because if Steve Irwin had problems with parrots, then I guess they are not something we should mess with.

Thought of the day....

“To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, 'Hey, can you give me a hand?' you can say, 'Sorry, got these sacks.'”
